New gallery artists Ellie Miller and Danni Bradford
The T5 Gallery is pleased to introduce new gallery artists Ellie Miller and Danni Bradford.
Danni takes an innovative and modern approach to the classical art of Verre Eglomise-the gilding of glass using multiple layering of precious metal leaf such as 24kt gold and copper, pigments, inks and Mica dusts.
Ellie is firmly established as one of the most respected names in British Surfboard Design. She is the only professional female surfboard maker in Europe.
Working with Danni Bradford an artist specialising in the art of Verre-Eglomise the gilding of glass, who has completed projects for some of the UK’s most prestigious private and commercial spaces. Together they began Lux Surfboards to push the boundaries of their respective art forms.
The T5 Gallery is pleased to be displaying a large scale painting by British artist Jeremy Houghton.
‘Paradise’ is from his ongoing series exploring birds, usually in large flocks.
Time spent in Africa in his twenties ignited a particular interest in birds, specifically the gangly, cartoon-pink flamingo. In his studio work Houghton continues to explore the compositional possibilities created by flocks of one of nature’s most distinctive birds.
The T5 Gallery is pleased to present a new sculpture by Andy Baerselman. His Eagle has been crafted from Italian poplar wood, creating a seamless form that inhabits the line between the purely figurative and the abstract.
The dark tones on the upper half highlight the power of the wings while also contrasting beautifully with the natural finish of the wood on the underside.
