Andy Baerselman

Andy Baerselman’s newest creation is a supremely accomplished piece combining a technical mastery of materials with a fantastic artistic mind. The way in which the wood is fashioned allows for the natural grain to not just follow but to define the lines and form of the shark.

The base on which the shark is mounted allows for movement back and forth and side to side, via a simple but carefully thought out mechanism. This works to produce the effect of the shark only lightly skimming across the surface of the iron curve, further accentuating its beautiful form.
