August 2012 – part 3

London 2012: Paralympics

The Terminal Five Expo Fine Art Gallery would like to celebrate the opening of the
Paralympic Games by adding a series of Paralympic artworks to our charity auction,
enabling everyone to own their own piece of the Paralympic legacy. The artworks feature Paralympian and presenter Ade Adepitan, Olympian and four-time Paralympic gold medallist Oscar Pistorius, nine-time Paralympic gold medallist, Equestrian Rider Lee Pearson and two-time Paralympic gold medallist and wheelchair racer David Weir. These inspiring Paralympic athletes have been captured in sculpture, paint and pencil and the artworks are available to purchase as part of the silent charity auction through the Terminal Five Expo Fine Art Gallery in Heathrow airport. All proceeds over the artist’s reserve will be donated to the Paralympic GB Charity.

The artwork available in the silent auction covers a variety of mediums and is directly
inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Our artists have taken inspiration from the construction of the Olympic Village, the Olympic and Paralympic mottos and in some cases they have met with the athletes themselves to capture their likeness and talent in a medium that will last for generations to come.
